Brilliant excuses!
Thought we'd take this opportunity to say something about bad losers. Have anyone ever in the history of this game taken a loss without blaming it on something? I my self have noticed that when I'm down a couple of goals in a game (both versus and team play), instead of trying to get back in the game, I begin to figure out what to blame my loss on. Because that is what I'm gonna take with me from the game. My excuse. So in a way, if my excuse for losing is really refined .... then - it's like I haven't lost at all.
This concerns anyone who plays with the belief that they belongs to the top quality of players in the league. Nothing unusual about that. It's not fun to lose when one has the potential to win. However, what is funny is when people are taking this too far.
Here are a few favorites of mine (from consolehockey.net)
"We were forced to play this game with a line up we have never before distressed and our chemestry were not the best. It's not very funny to let in a goal with 0.8 seconds left of the game" (WHAT DO YOU MEAN) - Northern stars after a loss
"I owned the game completely but the opponent scored seven glitch goals." - Pulverapa after a vs-Loss
"I dont know how he won that last tournament because he was crap. Again I Dominated whole game and he had a lucky winning goal. He did not even know how to defend ... and Thats how immature he was. "- Some finnish guy who is really upset after losing a game to Pajen
There are many more. But due to copyright reason I cannot post them here. Okay. Fuck that. Here is one INSANE MOTIVATION FOR WHY HE/or/SHE lost.
"I lost because of the fact that there is an added momentum engine hidden in the game, which means that the match is scripted and already decided before the match even started."
FUCK. ARE YOU KIDDING WITH ME. I tell you, I stood up and applauded when this guy sent this message to me over xbl-live. This guy is a genius. You have to be really creative to come up with something like this. Reminds me of Archimedes who was sitting in his bathtub, pondering over his principles when he SUDDENLY had a brainwave. EUREKA!!!! he shouted and quickly ran into town completly naked. The guy who said that the momentum engine settled the match before it even started was most likely in a bathtub and mused before he sent this amazing, brilliant excuse. BRAVO, sir. BRAVO!!!!
Here is the list of the most common reasons why people lose (THIS IS OFFICIAL)
1. Delay
2. Lagg
3. Lucky goals from the other team while the opposing goalie was lucky on our shots
4. Lineup. No chemestry
5. Fever
Remarkably, no one mentions the fact that they lost because the opponents were better. That they had more skills. It's like ... everyone is the best player aka the best team in world. I'm still waiting for a top team to come out of the closet and admit that they lost because our opponents played better. Sadly, this will probably never happen. There is no distance. Only qualified bullshit in this community. For if you always have a reason for losing, then soon you will believe in your own reasons IF they are presented in a convincing way. As this brilliant man demonstrates.
So what can we learn from this. I don't know and I don't care. I just think it's fascinating that teams ALWAYS, whatever situation they are in, have an excuse ready to be delivered. The question is only ... What do you blame your losses on? There is a lot of reasons. SKILL is not one of them.
"Always when the connection is good I win. When its bad. I lose. STUPID XBOX - get some fucking dedicated servers so I can be the best versus player in the world as I truly are"
Så lämnar han den bästa..
